Natural Testosterone Boosters
Testosterone boosters are natural formulated supplements that are packed with natural vitamins, minerals and herbal or plant based ingredients.
They do not contain any hormones, any man-made, synthetic or illegal substances.
In simple terms, natural t-boosters are hormone amplifiers or influencers rather than replacers.
They DO NOT introduce foreign forms of testosterone into the body, instead they nurture and provide the best environment for the body to step up its natural testosterone production.
They work in 3 ways:
- Stimulate the testes into increasing natural testosterone production
- Reduces the amount of testosterone that is bound by SHBG
- Reduces the effects of aromatase where testosterone is converted into estrogen

Just like t-boosters, prohormones are not actual testosterone either. They are man made, synthetic chemical products more similar in type and make up to anabolic steroids than natural T-boosters.
Prophormones are actually chemicals that act as precursors to testosterone production. They work in a similar way to anabolic steroids by enhancing absorption and conversion of key chemical compounds into hormones.
This group of drugs are often referred to as ‘andros’…

Prohormones Or Testosterone Boosters :Which Are Best?
A good natural T-booster can be very effective at raising hormone production, but as with everything in life, there are good and bad products out there.
The secret is knowing which ones to look for.
Supplement manufacturers who care about their customers will research and use proven ingredients with a solid history of testing, studies and results.
Those who care more about bottom line profit will often choose, cheap, or worthless ingredients for their formulas. Others will pack tiny amounts of various compounds into undisclosed proprietary blends that are weak at best, offering little or no results.
Here are some key ingredients that you should be looking for in a good T-booster
- D-aspartic acid
- Vitamin D3
- Vitamin B6
Some Ingredients to avoid include
- Tribulus Terrestris
- Eurycoma Longifolia
- Saw Palmetto
- Horny Goat Weed (Icarrin)
When pro hormones are originally put forward to have patents, it was claimed by the makers that just 50mg could boost testosterone by over 80%. Going further double the dose could increase testosterone by a staggering 260%.
Now although these are eye-catching statements, science has strongly refuted these claims, with studies proving them inaccurate.
One main issue with the use of pro hormones is that they have a very short half life, once they have been put into the body, their effectiveness reduces very quickly, which basically means that any testosterone increases are very short lived.
This has the consequence of creating a short lived anabolic environment that in truth makes very little difference to long term testosterone production.
The Canadian Journal Of Applied Physiology reported that “current research base suggests that the use of Sandro pro hormones does not support the manufacturers claims”
This article strongly suggested that these drugs had been strongly marketed towards the public, despite them being largely ineffective.
It also highlighted that fact that they have the potential for increasing the risk of cardiac problems as well as boosting Estrogen levels.
Prohormones Do Not Work Alongside Strength Training
One of the key selling points made by manufacturers of Andro’s is the fact that they work so well alongside strength training.
This claim has been found to be totally false. A study called the Andro Project looked at 50 men who underwent a 12 week strength training program.
Half were given 200mg of androstenedione, and the other half were given a placebo. None of the research subjects knew what group they were in.
The results weren’t very good at all. The group taking the pro hormone saw a 12.3% drop in heart protecting HDL cholesterol while the placebo group saw an increase of 5.1%. The andro group also saw the increased risk of coronary disease by 6.5%.
Neither group experienced any increase in testosterone levels.
Despite the manufacturers claims and promises, science has proved that prohormones are not very effective at boosting testosterone, in fact they can be rather detrimental to your health in several ways.
Natural T-Boosters on the other hand have solid scientific backing behind them that proves their abilities and results.
A good natural testosterone supplement will help boost natural hormone production. Enhancing muscle mass, boosting strength, energy and libido, all with no risk to life or limb.
